![]() ![]() The shitty thing is that there isn't really another company making a top flight sound card anymore. I also feel that this could be partially be caused by companies trimming costs for R&D by hiring unqualified devs. It's inexcusable in our current climate of rapid change/improvement that drivers are left to rot for years. It's cool that someone affiliated with Creative is trying to put some good PR out, but it really just rings hollow. ![]() If they were legit interested in supporting their "older" cards, even ones that are apparently still sold in fairly large numbers, the latest drivers for those devices wouldn't be from 2017. They use their dominant position in the market to sell a shit load of product and then when it gets more difficult to support devices that are a little older, they just put up a smoke screen, say they're working on it, and count on people to forget about it. I think it's time to call Creative what they are: Lazy. ![]()
